Is This You?

Maybe you were in a relationship, romantic, or with a parent, where you constantly felt like you were walking on eggshells, never quite sure which version of that person you'd get. Maybe you started to doubt your own memory, your own feelings, your own judgment, because you were told so often that you were the problem. Maybe you're out of that relationship now, or maybe you're still in it, and either way, you're left wondering who you even are outside of it. That confusion isn't a personal failing. It's what happens when someone repeatedly makes their reality feel like the only reality.

What This Often Looks Like

  • Chronic self doubt or difficulty trusting your own perceptions
  • A pattern of prioritizing someone else's needs and moods over your own
  • Anxiety around conflict or disagreement
  • Feeling responsible for another person's emotions
  • Struggling to set boundaries, or feeling guilty when you do

This is real trauma, even when it didn't leave a visible mark. Complex, relational harm often does the most damage precisely because it happens slowly, inside relationships that were supposed to be safe.

How We Work Together

My approach is relational psychodynamic and attachment based, which matters a lot here, because the harm happened inside a relationship, and healing often needs to happen inside one too. I bring myself fully into the room with you, honestly and consistently, because part of what this work rebuilds is your ability to trust that a relationship can be safe, steady, and exactly what it appears to be. We'll work through what happened, help you reconnect with your own perceptions and instincts, and rebuild a sense of self that isn't defined by someone else's version of you.

What You Can Expect

Many clients find they begin to:

  • Trust their own judgment and memory again
  • Set boundaries without the wave of guilt that used to follow
  • Recognize unhealthy patterns earlier, in this relationship or future ones
  • Feel like themselves again

Common Questions

A few things people usually want to know before reaching out. If you don't see your question here, feel free to ask during your free consultation.

How do I know if what I experienced counts as narcissistic abuse?

You don't need a clinical label to validate your experience. If you consistently felt confused, blamed, or like you were losing yourself in a relationship, that's real, and it's worth exploring here, whatever we end up calling it.

I still love this person. Does that mean it wasn't really abuse?

Not at all. These relationships are often confusing precisely because real love or attachment coexists with real harm. That mix doesn't cancel out your experience, it explains why leaving or healing can feel so complicated.

Is this different from regular trauma therapy?

It overlaps a lot with complex trauma work, but this focuses specifically on the unique dynamics of narcissistic relationships, self doubt, boundary struggles, and rebuilding trust in your own perceptions.

I'm still in this relationship. Can I still come to therapy?

Yes. Many clients start this work while still in the relationship. Therapy can help you gain clarity and support, whatever decisions you eventually make.

Will you tell me I need to leave my relationship?

No. I won't make that decision for you. My role is to help you reconnect with your own clarity and judgment, so that whatever you decide, it's actually coming from you.
